Description
A hip throw where the attacker wraps their arm around the opponent's neck/head while turning their hip into the opponent's midsection, then rotates to throw them over the hip. The technique combines hip positioning with upper body control to generate a powerful throwing motion.
Common Applications
Effective when opponent is leaning forward or when transitioning from clinch work. Often used as a counter to opponent's forward pressure. Can be set up from collar ties or when opponent attempts takedowns. Also useful in no-gi situations due to head/neck control.
