Description
A rear throw where the attacker lifts and throws the opponent backwards over their head or shoulder. Executed by getting behind the opponent, securing a bear hug or body lock, then arching backwards to throw the opponent in a suplex-like motion. One of the most dramatic and powerful throws in grappling.
Common Applications
Effective against opponents who turn away or when you achieve back control standing. Often used as a counter to forward-pressure techniques. High-impact throw that can score maximum points in competition. Requires significant strength and timing to execute safely.
