Description
A takedown technique where the attacker controls the opponent's upper body (typically with an underhook or collar tie) while simultaneously attacking behind their knee, causing them to collapse backward. The knee attack can be with the hand, shin, or foot depending on the variation.
Common Applications
Highly effective when opponent has weight on their lead leg or is standing upright. Often combined with upper body control for maximum effectiveness. Can be used as counter to sprawls or when opponent defends other takedown attempts. Popular setup from collar ties or underhooks.
