Description
A defensive technique used to counter takedown attempts, particularly shots to the legs. The defender quickly shoots their hips back and legs out while dropping down, making it difficult for the attacker to complete their takedown. Often combined with crossfaces or underhooks for control.
Common Applications
Primary defense against single legs, double legs, and other low takedowns. Essential fundamental for takedown defense. Can be used to counter and gain top position. Often combined with front headlock or other control positions after successful sprawl.
