Description

A takedown technique where the attacker grabs the opponent's ankle (typically the lead leg) and lifts it while driving forward or to the side, causing the opponent to lose balance and fall. Often combined with upper body control for maximum effectiveness.

Common Applications

Effective when opponent has weight on their lead leg or is stepping forward. Low-risk takedown that doesn't require deep penetration.
Often used as counter to opponent's attacks or when they're off-balance. Can be set up from tie-ups or as reaction to opponent's movement.
