Description
A fundamental joint lock that hyperextends the opponent's elbow joint by isolating their arm between your legs and applying leverage through hip movement and arm control. The technique forces submission through pain compliance or the threat of injury to the elbow joint. Can be applied from multiple positions with various entry methods.
Common Applications
High-percentage submission from guard positions, excellent counter to opponent's posting arm during guard passes, effective transition from failed triangle attempts, strong finishing position from mount when opponent attempts to escape. Commonly used in combination with other submissions like triangles and omoplatas.
