Description

A fundamental mount escape where the defender creates space and recovery by framing directly on the opponent's armpit area. The defender posts one or both hands on the opponent's armpit (the junction between shoulder and rib cage) to create a tight frame that prevents the opponent from maintaining vertical posture. Using this frame for support and to control the opponent's upper body, the defender bridges their hips upward and shrimps to the side, using their legs to push the mounted opponent away. Once space is created, the defender can recover guard or continue the escape sequence. This escape is highly effective against opponents who post their hands for balance rather than maintaining a tight chest-to-chest position.
