Description
Major outer wraparound: a side sacrifice throw (yoko-sutemi-waza) that starts as o-soto-gari. Tori wraps uke's arm under the armpit and reaps uke's leg from the outside, then turns and falls with uke instead of driving them backward from a standing base. Kodokan Shinmeisho no Waza.
Common Applications
Typically used when the standing o-soto-gari reap stalls: tori commits to the wrap and falls with uke.
