Description

Sweeping wraparound: a side sacrifice throw (yoko-sutemi-waza) that begins as harai-goshi (sweeping hip), then — instead of staying upright — tori releases the lapel grip, twists in, and wraps uke's arm under the armpit so uke's body winds around tori's, then falls forward to carry uke over and down. The makikomi (wraparound, fall-with) counterpart to harai-goshi, paralleling hane-makikomi vs hane-goshi. A Kodokan Shinmeisho no Waza (later-accepted technique); legal in competition.
