Description
A high-amplitude finish from the Single Leg, especially effective from the high single position where the head is already tight to the opponent's hip and the body is squared for the trip. With the leg secured high and tight, the attacker scoops the leg, drives the hips underneath the opponent, and lifts their entire lower body off the mat, then rotates them over the captured leg to the ground. Often the first finish attempted after securing a single leg due to its speed and reliability against most defenses, and commonly used as an entry into leg-lock series in catch wrestling and BJJ.
Common Applications
First-response finish once a single leg is secured, particularly from the high single position; sets up leg-lock entries in no-gi/catch contexts once the opponent is grounded.
